Message from Wes Hopper

"If you go to work on your goals, your goals will go to work on you.If you go to work on your plan, your plan will go to work on you.Whatever good things we buildwill end up building us." Jim RohnI was saddened to hear that masterteacher Jim Rohn passed away lastweek. Rohn was an inspiration andmentor to many, many people andhis wisdom will be missed. The above quote is an example ofwhat he learned and taught. Whenyou look at it carefully you cansee several lessons.First is that life is a process, nota destination. He suggests that wesee the benefit in the work andstruggle that it takes to achievesomething, rather than just beingfocused on the end result. We are, after all, building a life. The kind of life we build is goingto be determined by the kind ofgoals and plans we work on,because they'll work on us.And that's the second lesson. Ourchoice of goals and plans meansmuch more than just what weaccomplish. We're choosingwhat we're becoming, too!The third lesson is that it's notjust the good things we buildthat matter, its anything we build. They all work on us.So if we build with shame, blame, excuses, and fear, that's what we get.If we constantly choose leisureover labor, we may think we'renot building at all, but we are. Andwe're not going to like the result.By now you know my mantra. Finda purpose, set a goal, make a planand go to work! If you're going tobe building something, make itsomething you like. It'll make you someONE you like! You'll be very grateful that you did.And gratitude always creates miracles.Blessings,Wes
